Associate of Arts in Teaching
Welcome to the home page for K-12 teacher education at Pulaski Technical College. This program serves as the launching point for students interested in becoming classroom teachers.
The goals of the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) program are to prepare students for the teaching profession, to help students identify the area in which they may wish to teach, and to provide the successful transfer and the seamless entry into the Teacher Education Program at the four-year institution. The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree is designed to meet the needs of persons interested in transferring to a four year university to complete requirements for a teaching license to work with children in the public school setting. Students must earn a grade of C or better in each course, have a 2.65 grade point average and pass the Praxis I exam to satisfy requirements for the AAT degree. Passage of the Praxis I examination is required for entry into a college of education at a four-year institution.
