|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for adjunct faculty instructor positions in Medical Office Technology/Coding. These positions require a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting with the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting.
Adjunct Faculty Role:
Adjunct faculty instructors are professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Pulaski Technical College students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty reports to the dean to perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.
|Minimum Requirements: ||Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in the medical field is required. Master’s degree is preferred. The candidate should be a certified coder with at least two years’ experience in the coding industry. Two years’ experience teaching students; preferably in a college setting involving a diverse student body is also preferred. The successful candidate will possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary skills, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings. The ability to utilize web-based educational technology is expected. The ideal candidate will be flexible to teach classes during the day and evening sessions.
Teaching assignments may include satellite locations, alternative delivery methods, day and evening courses. Daytime instructors are the immediate need. The successful candidate should also possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
