|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College, one of the state's fastest-growing two-year colleges, is accepting applications for an adjunct faculty position in Anatomy and Physiology. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting. The successful candidate will join our instructional team in August 2013.
|Minimum Requirements: ||Minimum preferred qualifications:
A master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline is required. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to successfully maintain a diverse teaching load involving courses such as biological science, microbiology and other biological sciences. The successful candidate will possess competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess the curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring current knowledge, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings. Experience in a health related profession is preferred.
Candidates must have flexibility to teach online classes with labs that meet in-person during the day. Teaching assignment will be located at Baptist Health Schools Little Rock (BHSLR) and is expected to be two sections per semester. Candidates are expected to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with the Director of Allied Health Affiliations, full-time PTC faculty, BHSLR colleagues, and students to contribute to the quality and improvement of the curriculum at BHSLR. A shared vision for preparing students for their professional programs and an ability and willingness to use novel teaching techniques and technology to engage today's learner is essential.
Candidates for this position must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
|Preferred Qualifications: ||Prior teaching experience; prior experience with distance education. Master's degree in Biology.|
