|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for a Financial Aid Advisor - Clock Hour Programs. This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid and is responsible for advising students on obtaining, processing, and maintaining federal financial aid. The position is governed by federal regulations and institutional policy. This position will be assigned a program(s) as a specialty. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate, monitor and award institutional scholarships, fee waivers, and other miscellaneous awards from outside agencies.
Coordinate, monitor, and process aid for students in clock hour programs.
Advise students and parents regarding the federal financial aid process in person and by phone. Accurately and effectively communicating the deadlines for applying for aid, assisting applicants in the completion of required financial aid forms, and advising students, parents, lenders or outside agencies on processing issues or other concerns.
Review individual financial aid applications, process verification, and monitor awards.
Review and update all financial aid forms. Develop additional forms when necessary.
Serve on various committees; attend conferences and meetings to keep abreast of changing rules and regulations governing financial aid.
Perform other duties as assigned.
|Minimum Requirements: ||The formal education equivalent of a Bachelors degree with a major in general business, accounting or related field; One year experience in student financial or a related area is preferred; Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.|

Ability to disseminate information orally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret federal regulations
Ability to supervise subordinates
Skilled in the use of computer systems and software applications
