|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college seeks an entrepreneurial leader to provide vision and direction for its community education program. The College's mission is to offer educational programs and services that are accessible, comprehensive, community-centered, and flexible in order to enhance the development of the communities and residents of its service area. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Vice President for Economic Development and other college administrative and academic personnel in identifying and promoting new program opportunities and delivery formats to meet the needs of the central Arkansas region. This position is located at the Business & Industry Center campus in Little Rock, Arkansas at 3303 East Roosevelt Road. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides leadership, guidance and direction for community education programs and activities.
Design, develop and implement a comprehensive, community-centered community service program on an annual basis.
Responsible for planning, administering, promoting and assessing of instructional programs and services in community education. (Includes registration, enrollment, and participant recruitment)
Develops and maintains relations with community organizations, service organizations and community stakeholders.
Provides direction and supervision for community education adjunct faculty and staff including recruitment, training, scheduling and evaluations.
Coordination of on-line professional development course offerings for K-12 educators in central Arkansas and beyond.
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
|Preferred Qualifications: ||Must possess at least a masters degree with higher education administrative and/or teaching experience. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the educational process, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with college continuing education and/or community service programs is preferred.|
