|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, seeks a Distance Education Support Technician to be responsible for training students in the use of Learning Management Systems and other new software as they are adopted by Pulaski Technical College. The Distance Education Support Technician attends educational technologies conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and practices in distance education software. Provides technical support to students for their online courses. Provides training for and manage lecture capture system.
Provides technical support to students in the use of online courses.
Teaches orientation for students in the use of online courses.
Correspondence in email@example.com email.
Assists students with setting up their student portal accounts.
Unlocks accounts for students in Active Directory accounts.
Resets forgotten passwords for Active Directory accounts.
Adds students into classes manually if necessary.
Creates training accounts in Learning Management System for student orientations.
Keeps organized copies of Training Certificates of LMS certified faculty.
Manages the campus lecture capture system.
Provides training for the campus lecture system.
Writes and manages tutorials used in helpdesk support.
Performs other duties as required.
Technician must be familiar with Microsoft Office, have a general knowledge of computers, adjusting computer settings, adding/removing programs, printer management, general working knowledge in Active Directory/ Users and Computers, & Desktop Support. Technician must also be experienced in Help Desk and Customer Service, as well as having a general working knowledge of LMS products.
|Minimum Requirements: ||The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field: OR Completion of technical training in computer science, information technology, or a related field acquired from a vocational, military, or industrial setting plus two years of experience in computer support.|
|Preferred Qualifications: ||Familiarity with Blackboard LMS products and experience with Blackboard support.|
