The Pulaski Technical College Collision Repair Technology program will host its second annual Automotive Tradeshow Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Pulaski Tech campus, 3000 West Scenic Drive, North Little Rock. The event is free and open to the general public.
Ken Leslie, instructor of collision repair technology, said the event is one of a kind in central Arkansas and promises to be a fun-filled day of entertaining and educational activities for those interested in automobiles, motorcycles and related technology.
Activities will include a car and bike show sponsored by O'Reilly Auto Parts, with trophies awarded in 10 classifications. Dash plaques also will be awarded to the first 100 participants. Entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the show.
There will be a model car show and a coloring book contest for kids sponsored by PPG Industries. Other events include an auto swap market, car corral, demonstrations by AirbrushGuy.com and Duke Pinstriping, a guest appearance by Elvis impersonator Butch Dicus and free hot dogs and soft drinks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Area firefighters also will participate in an extrication seminar and demonstration.
Participants also will have an opportunity to meet area automotive vendors and view the latest products. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
