Students wishing to enter original artwork in the 2nd annual National Library Week Student Art Competition can pick up entry forms up in the Division of Fine Arts and Humanities or in Ottenheimer Library on the Main campus or at Little Rock-South.
Entries are due March 18.
The competition is part of National Library Week set for April 11 -17. Judging will be done by a professional artist in the Central Arkansas area, and winners will be announced April 15.
The Best of Show winner will receive free tuition for a three-hour course. The first runner-up will receive a $75 PTC Bookstore gift certificate, and the second-place winner will receive a $25 bookstore certificate.
Art categories include charcoal, pen and ink, pastel, graphite, painting (any media), graphic design, 3-D design (sculpture), photography and mixed media.
Entries must be turned in during regular business hours at either library between March 15 and March 18. Winning artworks will be published in The View from Here.
The Art Essay Contest is sponsored by the PTC Library Committee, the Division of Fine Arts & Humanities and the PTC Fine Arts Association.
