Celebrity chefs will be on campus Thursday for the 2009 Celebrity Cook-Off sponsored by AY Magazine and hosted by the Pulaski Technical College Foundation.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Grand Hall. Tickets are $50, and proceeds go to the PTC Foundation to support the PTC Arkansas Culinary School.
Celebrity chefs will prepare recipes submitted for the magazine's 2009 Reader Recipe Contest. Participating chefs include former Arkansas Diamond Chef winner Donnie Ferneau of Ferneau Restaurant (and a former adjunct PTC adjunct instructor); David Bennett of Vieux Carre, Rob Best of Best Impressions; Timothy Morton of 1620; Andre Poirot, executive chef at Peabody Little Rock; and Lee Richardson of the Capital Hotel.
Judges will include Pulaski Tech's very own Todd Gold, director of the PTC Arkansas Culinary School and owner of Purple Cow; Mark Abernathy of Loca Luna; Faith Anaya of KidsCook Arkansas; Peter Brave of Brave New Restaurant; and Mary Twedt of KUAR's "Arkansas Cooks" segment.
