Pulaski Tech holds 2009 commencement5/21/2009

The faculty and staff at Pulaski Tech College congratulate all of this year's graduates.
Nearly 700 people walked across the stage of Alltel Arena Wednesday night to receive degrees and certificates during the college's annual commencement exercises. About 1,700 students completed certificates or degrees this past year.
Jon Harrison, general manager of North American Motor Grader Operations for Caterpillar Inc., delivered the keynote address, offering graduates career advice to keep them on a track to long-term success.
"Your character will differentiate you from others," he said. "Rise above the norm and deliver more than expected."
Harrison also urged graduates to have a "can-do" attitude, to embrace diversity, to surround themselves with quality people, and above all to "be accountable to something larger than yourself."
"Wherever your path leads you, I wish you success," he said.
Pulaski Tech is an educational partner to Caterpillar, which is building a facility in North Little Rock that is expected to eventually employ 600 people.
