Students from Pulaski Technical College will be competing in the Arkansas SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Championship taking place today and Wednesday at the Hot Springs Conference and Convention Center.
Several hundred students from across Arkansas will be competing in the annual conference, which tests students' knowledge, ability and leadership skills.
Students from the PTC Arkansas Culinary School will compete in culinary competitions, and students enrolled in programs in the Technical and Industrial Division will be competing in automotive collision repair and small engine repair.
Saline County Career Center students also will compete in several of the high school-level competitions, including cosmetology, automotive technology and collision repair.
In addition, several Pulaski Tech instructors serve as judges in the various competitions.
Winners of the state competitions advance to the National Leadership and Skills Conference to be held June 21-16 in Kansas City.
