Jimmy Davis, program director for Pulaski Technical College's Respiratory Therapy Program, has been named Educator of the Year by the Arkansas Society for Respiratory Care.
Davis received the honor during the Arkansas Society for Respiratory Care's annual seminar held Sept. 24-26 at the Austin Hotel in Hot Springs. This is the first year the society has bestowed the honor.
Davis has been a member of the Pulaski Tech faculty since 1986 and founded Pulaski Tech's Respiratory Therapy program.
In addition, two of Davis' students received scholarships. Sonja Chudy of North Little Rock and Tiffany Anderson of Hensley each received a $1,000 scholarship from the Arkansas Society for Respiratory Care.
"The ASRC only awarded two scholarships this year, and Pulaski Tech received both," Davis said. "I'm proud of all of my students, especially these two."
