Pulaski Technical College Little Rock-South, the college's newest site, will open for classes on Monday, Aug. 18.
The new site, located at 13000 Interstate 30 in the former Little Rock Expo building, houses the PTC Transportation Technology Center, the PTC Arkansas Culinary School and plenty of classroom space where courses in computer information, developmental education, early childhood development, economics, English, fine arts, physical sciences, social sciences, communications and other subjects will be taught this fall.
The Transportation Technology Center will focus on career-oriented training for students in the fields of motorcycle and ATV repair technology, small engine repair technology, commercial driver training and transportation facility management. Presently, automotive technology and collision repair training will continue at the Pulaski Tech main campus in North Little Rock. These programs will relocate to Little Rock-South in spring 2009. Courses for the Commercial Driver License (CDL) program will be taught at the Saline County Career Center at 3201 South Reynolds Road in Bauxite.
Students attending classes at Little Rock-South will also have access to all the services they enjoy at the main campus: a library, computer labs, tutoring services, student services, all housed in an attractive new location with cutting-edge technology.
A complete list of course offerings can be found in the fall 2008 schedule, which can be accessed by clicking here. Registration for classes continues through Aug. 13 at the main campus in North Little Rock.
