PTC students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa5/6/2008
Ninety-one Pulaski Technical College students were inducted into the Beta Zeta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on May 3.
More than 100 friends and relatives of inductees attended the ceremony held in the U.S. Bank Community Room in the Information Technology Center on Pulaski Tech's main campus in North Little Rock.
Lennon Parker, Pulaski Tech's Web communication specialist, received an honorary membership for his distinguished service to the society. Connie Halter, a student, was recognized for receiving the New Century Scholar Award for the state of Arkansas.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, is by invitation only. Each fall and spring, students who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 and have taken 18 credit hours (non-developmental) toward an associate degree receive a letter of invitation.
