PTC hosts 2008 Governor's Oral Health Summit2/18/2008

More than 200 dental and medical professionals and educators and legislators gathered at Pulaski Technical College Friday for the 2008 Governor's Oral Health Summit.
This year's summit, sponsored by the Arkansas Oral Health Coalition, focused on "Methamphetamine: Clinical, Legal and Policy Issues."
The daylong summit included a panel discussion with Jennifer Fisher, a congressional lobbyist with the American Dental Association, and Arkansas Senators Shane Broadway and Percy Malone.
Other speakers included Audrey Ticknor, RDH., MA.; Gina Thornton-Evans, with the Centers for Disease Control Division of Oral Health; Robert Brech, an attorney for the Arkansas Department of Health; and Cynthia Crone, MNSc, who works at UAMS.
