New student orientation, advising and registration for the fall 2007 semester at Pulaski Technical College began Tuesday, July 10, and will continue through Aug. 15.
New students who have been admitted to Pulaski Tech for the fall 2007 semester are to visit the SOAR center for orientation, advising and on-site registration. Students can meet with an adviser in the SOAR center to discuss their academic goals and plan their schedules.
The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The SOAR center is located on the third floor of the Campus Center, on Pulaski Tech's main campus at 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock.
Beth Trafford, director of counseling and advisement, said new students should submit a paper application to the Office of Admissions and Records or apply online by clicking here and turn in all required documents before visiting the SOAR center.
Students entering college for the first time must submit a high school transcript with graduation date or GED scores, and ACT or COMPASS assessment scores no more than five years old. Students who have previously attended college must submit official copies of transfer transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities and ACT or COMPASS scores if college-level math and English have not been completed with a grade of "C" or better.
All full-time students born after January 1, 1957, must submit two proofs of measles and rubella (MMR) immunizations.
Classes for the fall semester begin Monday, August 20. In order to enhance students' chances for academic success, no registration is permitted after classes begin.
