Bradley Garland of Sherwood hit a scholarship homerun during Pulaski Tech Night at the Arkansas Travelers game on July 21.
Garland, who is already attending Pulaski Tech, entered his name in a drawing at the Pulaski Tech booths that were positioned at the main gates during Pulaski Tech Night at Dickey-Stephens Park.
The game pitted the Travelers again the Wichita Wranglers. The Travelers lost, but Garland scored big when Pulaski Technical College president Dr. Dan F. Bakke drew Garland's name during the seventh inning stretch.
The one-semester scholarship covers full tuition and fees and is renewable as long as Garland maintains full-time enrollment status and a minimum grade-point average of 3.0.
More than 300 game attendees entered the drawing. In addition to sponsoring the scholarship drawing and information booths, the college was highlighted in the evening's opening ceremonies, with Dr. Bakke throwing the first pitch of the game.
