Pulaski Technical College will offer free sessions on Internet and Cyber Safety on Feb. 2.
The sessions are designed to help computer users become more aware of Internet fraud and how to protect themselves.
The sessions will be held 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. in the R.J. Wills Lecture Hall on the second floor of the Campus Center on the college's main campus, 3000 West Scenic Drive.
Both sessions will be led by Lennon Parker, Web communication specialist at Pulaski Technical College.
Topics to be discussed include safeguarding your personal information when using E-mail, chat rooms and Instant Messaging, online journals and blogging, MySpace and shopping online. Each session will include demonstrations in improving security - such as how to pick your username and what not to include in your online profile - to uncovering Internet fraud.
The sessions conclude with a question and answer time. For more information, call Lennon Parker at (501) 812-2730 or e-mail email@example.com.
