Dr. Michael L. DeLong, candidate for executive vice president and provost at Pulaski Technical College, will spend two days at Pulaski Tech March 5 and 6, meeting with the search committee, touring college locations and visiting with various groups on campus. Dr. Mark Meadows of Chula Vista, Calif., visited the campus in February. Dr. Keith McClanahan of Searcy, another finalist, will visit the campus on March 12-13.
Dr. DeLong has served as vice president for academic affairs at Ozarka College in Melbourne since 2006. Previously, he served as associate vice president for academic affairs at Oklahoma State University at Oklahoma City from 2001-2006, department head of business administration at Oklahoma State University from 1998-2001 and assistant professor at Oklahoma State University from 1995-1998.
Dr. DeLong served as total quality instructor and chief of training and development at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma from 1990-1994. From 1973 to 1990, he served as an avionics communication/navigation technician and manager in the U.S. Air Force.
Dr. DeLong holds a Doctor of Education in adult education from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater, a Master of Arts in management from Webster University, a Bachelor of Arts in human resource management from Southern Nazarene University and an Associate of Applied Science in avionics technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
