The Big Rock Reading Series continues on Tuesday with a visit by Louisiana poet and writer Alison Pelegrin who will share excerpts from her latest works.
The reading begins at 6:30 p.m. in the R.J. Wills Lecture Hall, located on the second floor of the Campus Center. A question-and-answer sessions and book signing will follow.
Pelegrin is the author of Big Muddy River of Stars and Hurricane Party, both with the University of Akron Press.
Pelegrin's appearance is the second event in the Big Rock Reading Series, which began last month as a way to bring poets, fiction writers, journalists, essayists and other writers from central Arkansas and beyond to the college. The third event is set for Nov. 8.
