October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this is the fifth year that PTC has worked to "Break the Silence" about violence in intimate partner relationships.
This week, The Clothesline Project will be on display at the Main campus and Little Rock-West site. The project includes more than 200 tee-shirts created in commemoration of people affected by domestic violence and offers men, women and children an opportunity to have a voice to express how violence has changed their lives.
The Clothesline will be display at Little Rock-West on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at the Main campus on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Also on display will be The Silent Witness Project, which includes life-sized silhouettes representing the 21 females who were murdered by their intimate partner in Arkansas last year.
Representatives from local domestic violence shelters and Pulaski Tech counselors will be on hand to assist, support and educate our campus community through this experience.
