PTC Bookstore open Aug. 6 for sales tax holiday8/4/2011
Pulaski Technical College's Follett Bookstore will be open Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow students to take advantage of the sales tax holiday.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, the state of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, school art supplies, school instructional materials and clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.
Textbooks, workbooks, reference books, reference maps and globes are exempt from local and state sales tax for the holiday period.
