Career Pathways Initiative Program
The Career Pathways Initiative Program at University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College is:
- A statewide initiative designed to provide support services and direct financial assistance to parents who want to increase their education to enter high-demand/high wage careers.
- Mandated by Arkansas Act 514 that Career Pathways, via institutions of higher education, “offer programs targeted to the specific workforce needs of their area within the state and…provide services aimed at improving employment prospects for low-income adults.”
- A collaboration of the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges, Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, Arkansas Department of Career Education and Southern Good Faith Fund.
