More than 60% of Pulaski Technical College’s students rely on financial aid through scholarships, grants and loans, while 90% work full- or part-time. With a somewhat small allocation from the state, tuition and fees must generate almost half of Pulaski Tech’s operating costs, whereas most colleges’ student fees account for a mere 20% of their budgets. As you can see, Pulaski Tech depends on assistance from other funding sources. We are grateful for gifts like yours to help fill the gaps and provide superior services for our students.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN Pulaski Technical College is in a continued growth cycle and ongoing phases of a capital campaign. More classroom space is needed on each campus. We recently began the fifth leg of our campaign geared toward funding the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute on the South Campus. Ground was broken in the spring 2012 and completion is anticipated for fall 2013. The Pulaski Tech Foundation is working to raise $1.5 million to equip the building.
PROGRAM SUPPORT Pulaski Technical College invests in additional cultural, scholastic and social activities that enable students to engage in and enjoy the camaraderie of the college culture, and to have access to additional academic and personal support.
SPONSORSHIPS Pulaski Technical College Foundation hosts three major special events each year – the “Business of Art” in March, the “Diamond Chef Arkansas” in June and the “PG and Melanie Bradford Golf Tournament” in August. Sponsorship funding provides support for the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute and the Fine Arts and Humanities Center or is added to the program support.
SCHOLARSHIPS A number of individuals and corporations choose to provide tuition assistance and support for other necessary college expenses such as textbooks, certification tests, uniforms or other needs. The Foundation oversees established scholarship funds and awards more than 100 scholarships to students who qualify each academic year.
HONORARIUMS AND MEMORIALS A gift to Pulaski Technical College may be designated to honor a teacher, student or individual of your choice, or to observe a birthday or special occasion, or as a memorial for a deceased loved one, friend or individual. The Foundation sends a notice of your gift to the appropriate individuals.
