Associate of Applied Science: Allied Health
Pulaski Technical College is pleased to offer an Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health in partnership with local health care providers. Students who have completed one of the six qualifying allied health technical certificates are eligible for this degree. A total of 61-72 credit hours are required, broken up into the technical block and a general education block.
Each qualifying allied health program is independently operated. No guarantee of selection into an allied health program is made by declaring for the AAS degree. Students will not be classified for this degree until awarding of their technical certificate (for BHSLR programs and Dental Assisting) or acceptance into either the Radiography or Anesthesia Technology programs. Students are required to earn 15 credit hours with PTC in order to qualify for graduation. (These hours can come from elective credit.) Students are required to meet with the degree advisor.
Qualifying allied health programs include:

How the Degree Works
Students completing an allied health program at BHSLR will apply for the degree and submit their official transcript showing completion of the technical certificate to PTC. Dental assisting students will fill out a “Change of Degree Status” form. After meeting with the degree advisor, the student will then begin work on 19 hours of general education coursework. (Additional coursework may be required, as some of these courses have pre-requisite testing or credit requirements.)
