Pulaski Technical College has implemented a college-wide single stream
recycling program. Recycling containers have been placed throughout every campus
site to make recycling paper, plastic, and aluminum convenient for faculty,
staff and students. Paper, plastic, and aluminum products can all be put in
these containers together. Materials are separated for recycling at a Waste
Management recycling facility.
PTC also has placed red containers throughout the Culinary Arts and Hospitality
Management Institute to hold all food waste. It is sent to American Composting
Incorporated for composting. This measure, coupled with the single stream
recycling program, created the first “zero waste” Culinary Institute in the
