|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, one of the state's fastest growing two year colleges is accepting applications for a Grants & Major Gifts Officer. The Grants and Major Gifts Officer reports to the executive director of the college foundation and is responsible for researching, developing, and coordinating the college's application for governmental and private grants. The Grants and Major Gifts Officer serves as the primary writer of grants and proposals for the college and is expected to encourage the participation of faculty and other administrators in the grant application process. Knowledge of grant opportunities, procedures, and the ability to motivate and coordinate teams are essential attributes for this position. In addition, the position will assume responsibility of developing and maintaining a major gift program along with assisting with other development activities including capital campaigns, annual drives, special events and any other solicitations or duties as assigned.

? Researches grant and major gift sources and reviews proposal requirements.
? Serves as primary federal and state grant writer for the institution.
? Organizes grant proposals for submission.
? Establishes and maintains appropriate and necessary contacts locally, regionally and nationally to facilitate grants acquisition and represent the college favorably.
? Works with faculty and staff to develop proposal narratives, budgets and graphics components.
? Works with business office to set up initial accounts for approved grants.
? Works with the business office to maintain appropriate paperwork, files and contracts pertaining to all institutional grants and funds to insure regulatory compliance.
? Develops periodic reports for the executive director summarizing grant activity.
? Makes persuasive face-to-face and public presentations.
? Participates as assigned in other institutional advancement activities.
? Responsible for the prioritization of workload, completion of assignments, meeting deadlines and delegating tasks using innovative methods.
? Promotes personal and professional growth.

? Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests.

|Minimum Requirements: ||MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree; plus three (3) years of documented federal and state grant writing and research experience. Demonstrated proficiency in word processing and database computer skills. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
|Preferred Qualifications: ||PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated successful experience with competitive federal/state grants. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Three (3) years experience grant-writing in an institution of higher education. Proven major gifts solicitation success record. Knowledge of Razors Edge fundraising software. Experience in other areas of institutional advancement such as major and annual giving, events, etc.
