|Job Description: ||Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the state's largest two-year college, is accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in Accounting. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting with the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting. The successful candidate will join our institutional team in August 2013.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Candidate must have flexibility to teach day, evening, and weekend classes. Teaching assignments may include all locations, alternative delivery methods and all levels of Accounting.
? Active participation in non-instructional campus responsibilities such as college and departmental initiatives, committee work, curriculum planning, assessment of student learning, and professional development.
? Maintain office hours
? Development of assessment of student learning and departmental programs.
? The ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff.
? Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technology.
? Must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
|Minimum Requirements: ||Minimum Qualifications:
A master?s degree in Business with 18 graduate hours in Accounting/Finance and CPA. Experience in teaching Accounting on the secondary or post-secondary level is preferred and additional preference will be given to individuals with experience teaching at a two-year college. Successful candidates must have the ability and willingness to use contemporary teaching techniques and have a sound background in technology including Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will also possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary accounting skills. The ability to utilize web-based educational technology is expected.
