|Minimum Requirements: ||Associate degree and one year directly related experience supervising parks or ground maintenance; or high school diploma and three years directly related experience.
A Class D driver's license and good driving record.|
|Job Description: ||Supervises and participates in the construction, repair, and maintenance activities of parks maintenance crews.
Supervises and participates in construction: build pavilions, bridges, restrooms, playgrounds, ball fields and fences; pours curbs, gutters, catch basins, sidewalks, and pavilion floors; finishes concrete.
Supervises crew: plans work schedules and makes daily work assignments; trains crews in correct equipment use and maintenance; monitors vehicle maintenance procedures.
Supervises or participates in maintenance/repair of park facilities/equipment: performs major repair or renovation of restrooms, playgrounds, fences, athletic fields, community centers, etc. when needed.
Purchases Materials and Supplies: coordinates and purchases needed materials and supplies for assigned construction and repair tasks following proper City procedures and policies.
Keeps records: keeps time and attendance, equipment use and maintenance, materials used, and activity or job records.|
