Classes are canceled Monday Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct. 20, to allow Pulaski Technical College faculty and staff to attend the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges annual conference in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Classes will resume Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The conference begins Sunday with registration from 12-6 p.m. and the opening general session at 3:45 p.m. in the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Employees of the college who do not attend the conference are expected to report to work as usual on Monday and Tuesday. Offices, classrooms and labs will be open to employees; however, they will be closed to outside traffic.
AATYC is pleased to announce the keynote speakers for the 21st annual conference. Katherine Boswell, director of the new Community College Policy Center at the Academy for Educational Development of Washington D.C., will be the keynote speaker for the general session on Monday, Oct. 19, at 8:30 a.m. State Rep. Robbie Wills of Conway will be the keynote speaker for the Academic All-Star Brunch on Tuesday, Oct., 20, at 10 a.m.
