More than 200 dental and medical professionals, educators and legislators will be on Pulaski Technical College's main campus on Friday for the 2008 Governor's Oral Health Summit.
This year's summit, sponsored by the Arkansas Oral Health Coalition, will focus on "Methamphetamine: Clinical, Legal and Policy Issues."
The daylong conference will take place in the R. J. Wills Lecture Hall in the Campus Center. Dr. Dan F. Bakke, college president, will give welcome remarks.
The daylong summit will include a panel discussion with Jennifer Fisher, a congressional lobbyist with the American Dental Association, and Arkansas Senators Shane Broadway and Percy Malone.
Other speakers include Audrey Ticknor, RDH., MA.; Gina Thornton-Evans, with the Centers for Disease Control Division of Oral Health; Robert Brech, an attorney for the Arkansas Department of Health; and Cynthia Crone MNSc, who works at UAMS.
