Three Pulaski Technical College students have been awarded scholarships from the Rotary Club of Little Rock's Club 99 Foundation. Congratulations to the following:
Cheniqua Reynolds of North Little Rock was awarded the Eugene M. Pfeifer, Jr. Scholarship. This scholarship, in honor of Eugene M. Pfeifer III's father, E.M. Pfeifer, Jr., is awarded to a Pulaski Tech associate degree graduate transferring to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Reynolds, who served as Pulaski Tech's Student Government Association president for 2006-07 and was a Student Ambassador, graduated May 18 and plans to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Business at UALR beginning this fall.
Karen Ware of North Little Rock received the 2007 Rotary Scholarship. Ware is a single-parent student at Pulaski Technical College and is working on an Associate of Arts in Teaching. Her goal is to teach special education to pre-kindergarten through fourth-grade students.
Stephanie Drake of Jacksonville, a second-year Associate of Science student with a 4.0 grade-point average, was awarded the Frank White Scholarship. Drake plans to continue her education and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
