A new learning assistance center for students needing help with computer courses is now open in the Information Technology building. The center will also serve as an open lab for student use while also providing tutoring assistance to students enrolled in introductory computer courses, desktop applications, micro applications, and computer assisted design. The center is located in Room 102 on the first floor of the IT building on the main campus of Pulaski Technical College. The lab will be open Monday through Saturday. The hours of operation will be posted outside the room. The center is equipped with 12 Dell computers and four I-Macs with specialized software, such as that used by students learning graphing and computer assisted design. Sonya Appleby, the tutor coordinator, and several professional tutors will staff the lab. Students who need help in non-computer subjects can continue to get free assistance in The Bank of America Learning Assistance Center in Room 302 (third floor) in the Campus Center. Tutors there provide help in various subjects, including accounting, chemistry, English, biology, math, physics, science, anatomy and physiology, and Spanish.
