Attorney General rep to discuss ID theft and Internet safety at Pulaski Tech

Stephen Svetz with the Arkansas Attorney General's office will discuss Identity Theft and Internet Safety during a series of presentations Nov. 8-9 at Pulaski Technical College.

All of the sessions are free and open to the public.
"With the holiday season coming up, people are more vulnerable," said Gary Winkler, an adjunct business instructor, who organized the lectures. "We thought this was a good time to educate our student and community residents about identity theft so they can take the proper precautions to guard against identity theft."

Svetz also will address the dangers inherent with online computer use and offer practical suggestions for safeguarding children. Parents of children who use the Internet are encouraged to attend. It would also be beneficial for children 13 years old or older to attend.
