PulaskiTechnicalCollege will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of activities sponsored by the Cultural Diversity Committee.
Events will get under way Thursday, Feb. 16, with a Poetry Night in the student center located in the Administration building. Students, faculty and staff will share songs, dance and poetry from The event is free and open to the public.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21, there will be a reading from Why We Can't Wait, followed by a panel discussion from to in the lobby of the Allied Health Education Center. There is no charge for this activity.
Events will culminate with the annual Black History Banquet with the theme "Believe - Achieve - Succeed: Celebrating African American History in Song" on Friday, Feb. 24, at in the U.S. Bank Community Room on the first floor of the InformationTechnologyCenter. Tickets are $12 and are available from Dianne Butler in the Counseling Services office or from any committee member.
