Twentieth anniversary celebration to take place today

Pulaski Technical College will celebrate its twentieth anniversary as a two-year college with a reception and program today, Thursday, Oct. 20, 5 - 7 p.m., on the main campus promenade at 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock.

Following a short program at 6 p.m., guests will be entertained by a performance by the Diamond State Chorus. The Pulaski Technical College Arkansas Culinary School will serve heavy hors d'oeuvres during the festivities.

The event is free and open to the public. Artifacts from the history of college will be on display in the Campus Center. The program will be held outdoors.

The college began as a vocational/technical school serving veterans returning from World War II. Pulaski Technical College was created by Act 1244 of the 1991 Arkansas General Assembly and since that time enrollment growth has remained constant. According to preliminary reports released by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, Pulaski Tech is now the fourth largest institution of higher education in Arkansas.
