Pulaski Technical College will observe Constitution and Citizenship Day today with a voter registration drive, free give-aways and a chance to win tuition credit.
Students can win tuition credit by competing in the Mock Citizenship and Naturalization exam, a 100-question, multiple-choice online exam that tests knowledge of the U.S. Constitution. The online exam will be open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. midnight today. Test-takers have one hour to complete the test, and the highest-scoring testtaker will receive a three-credit hour tuition waiver. Pulaski Tech logo items will be awarded to second- and third-place winners.
Also, the Pulaski County Clerk's office will have a voter registration table in the Campus Center foyer today, and Student Ambassadors will be distributing free copies of the U.S. Constitution in the Campus Center foyer on the main campus and near Student Services at Little Rock-South, along with directions for logging onto the online exam.
Constitution Day observance commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, and honors and celebrates the privileges and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship.
