More than 100 students at the Saline County Adult Education Center will celebrate the completion of their GED at a graduation ceremony June 10.
The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at Pulaski Technical College's Little Rock-South site, at 13000 Interstate 30. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and the reception that will follow.
"They have worked very hard toward this milestone, and we want to recognize their achievement," said Yvonne Dougherty, director of the Saline County Adult Education Center.
Guests will include Shane Broadway, interim director of the Arkansas Department of Higher Education; State Sen. Jeremy Hutchison; State Rep. Ann Clemmer; State Rep. Kim Hammer; Dr. Dan F. Bakke, president of Pulaski Technical College; Mary Ann Shope, vice president for economic development at Pulaski Technical College; and Dr. Charles Carter, GED examiner for the Pulaski County Special School District.
Pulaski Technical College operates the Saline County Adult Education Center in Benton. The center offers General Educational Development (GED) preparation, basic skills, English as a Second Language, and computer literacy programs for residents of Saline County and the surrounding area.
