Pulaski Technical College Cost Containment

Pulaski Technical College is committed to reducing its cost of operations in numerous ways.  New and recently constructed buildings have been equipped with energy-efficient lighting, timers and HVAC controls. Energy efficiency is an important consideration in the design of new construction and in plans for retrofitting or renovating existing structures.

In addition, the college provides cost containment through efficient academic and administrative organizational infrastructure. Ongoing cost containment efforts relating to personnel include temporary savings by keeping job vacancies open; hiring of temporary or part-time, as opposed to full-time, employees; outsourcing of janitorial services; and reductions in college travel budgets. Additional measures include elimination of printed class schedules; conservative replacement policies for computer hardware; and maximization of facility use.
