Aircraft Manufacturing Aircraft Manufacturing program covers the skill that are needed to perform standard manufacturing tasks that are required during aircraft manufacturing processes. Non-Destructive Testing – The detecting of flaws in metals without doing damage to the material using chemicals and electrical currents.
This course provides the student with Lever I & II classroom training for magnetic particle and liquid penetrant requirements suggested by ASNT. Emphasis is placed on types of discontinuities and evaluation techniques.
Designing, implementing and interpreting nondestructive evaluations using eddy currents is covered in this course, meeting the training requirements of ASNT Level I & II certification. (5 credit hours)
This course covers fundamentals of ultrasonic testing in industry and the selection, calibration and operation of industrial ultrasonic flaw detectors, thickness gauges and composite examination instruments. Training meets ANST standards for Level I and II certification. (5 credit hours) >Back to Aerospace Technology Center Pulaski Technical College |
