- Where do 3D classes take place?
At the Arkansas Culinary and Hospitality Management Institute at Pulaski Technical College’s South Campus, located at 13000 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR.
- What services do you provide?
We provide classroom instruction in pre-employment skills leading to certification in a variety of culinary and hospitality functions. We also provide instruction in critical thinking skills, independent functioning and professionalism needed in the workplace. Our classes involve instruction, hands-on lab practice, individual planning and coaching and student mentoring.
- What are the days and hours/frequency of class?
Our classes run Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., following the Pulaski Technical College semester schedules, with the same holidays and vacations.
- How do I know whether I am eligible?
You can download or request an application packet by mail, which contains a checklist of required materials. If you meet the criteria outlined in the packet, you may be asked to come in for an interview to determine whether the program is a good fit for you and whether the program can benefit you.
- How long do I attend the classes?
Pulaski 3D is a eighteen month program, where you will earn a certificate in basic hospitality, plus certificates in areas of specialization that you choose. Students may take longer than two years to reach their desired level of certification, depending on their career interests.
- How is Pulaski 3D funded?
3D is a tuition-based program with a variety of funding streams available to applicants for tuition reimbursement. We are able to bill Medicaid for some adult development services provided. Scholarships are also available.
- Will I be safe on campus?
All PTC police officers are ALETA-certified officers who have undergone extensive training and have the same powers as other certified law enforcement officers in the State of Arkansas. Pulaski Tech has a police department on campus that continuously monitors the safety of all our students. In addition, Adult Development Staff will be present at drop-off and exit times, as well as during class hours. Students will be with Instructors and staff at all times while on campus.
- What if it doesn’t work out?
In the event the staff feels that you are not benefitting from the program or that you are in need of services not provided by 3D, a meeting will be held with you and your family and appropriate referrals made. If your behavior becomes a serious problem and interferes with the program and other students, you may be asked to leave.
